Riitta Kuisma is a Hong Kong based Finnish Visual artist. Riitta studied Visual Arts and History of Arts first in Finland. She continued her studies in Moscow, where she was taught by one of the leading artists/professors in the field of Monumental and Decorative Painting and History of Arts. Her studies included Classical Painting and Drawing, Monumental Painting such as Mosaic, Fresco and Sculpture. She received her B.A. in 1994 and M.F.A (Masters Degree) in Monumental Painting and Art Criticism from Moscow State University of Industrial and Applied Arts (named Stroganov) with outstanding marks in 1996. She has held solo exhibitions in Finland, Russia, India and Hong Kong and has joined many group exhibitions. Her works can be seen in both public and private collections in Europe (Finland, Russia, England, Germany, France and Spain), Asia (India, Japan and Hong Kong), Australia and Canada. She has received grants for her works from Finnish Cultural Foundation. She is one of the Asiaportrait.com artists in Hong Kong.
Riitta has 20 years experience in teaching arts and working with children. Besides teaching she has been running art workshops in international schools in Hong Kong. Her aim is to guide anyone interested in arts to find his/her own way to express in artmaking and enjoy the processes of creating arts and have fun.
